This Red, White, and Blue Berry Trifle is definitely one of the best dessert that I have tried in my life, this is something extraordinary, this is as good as dessert can be. The first time that I have made this Red, White, and Blue Berry Trifle I was astonished, I really really like it. Everyone at the table we’re amazed, honesty I never ever had so many reaction on any of my desserts. Everybody wanted the recipe and all of them made this dessert after, as far as I know this went on everyone top “to do list”. I recommend this to all of you, perfect mix of ingredients that is easy to make and tastes amazing.
1 1/2 pounds raspberries (5 cups)
3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup fresh orange juice (from 1 large orange)
10 ounces mascarpone cheese (1 1/3 cups)
1 1/4 cups cold heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
20 to 24 ladyfingers (from a 7-ounce package), broken into 1-inch pieces
3/4 pound blueberries (2 1/2 cups)
Combine your raspberries with quarter cup powdered sugar in a bowl and add the orange juice . Take a fork and lightly mash berries so they release their juices, let the berries juice sit for ten minutes. In one large bowl, stir the mascarpone cheese and half cup powdered sugar until becomes smooth. Add in the mix cream, vanilla, and little salt, whisk everything for four minutes or until soft peaks form.
In 8-inch spring-form pan place 10-12 of the ladyfingers and top them with half of the raspberry mix. With rubber spatula spread half of your whipped cream over the berries. Tap the pan on the side to remove any air bubbles. Repeat everything with remaining ladyfingers, raspberry mix and the whipped cream.
Top the trifle with blueberries and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Serve and enjoy.
